Artist’s
Statement
This piece
was commissioned by a corporate client and is based on my
original design for Weaver. Unlike the original,
I wanted this version to be simpler and cleaner. To accomplish
this goal, I simplified the design by using less woven slats
and making the lattice foundation entirely of ebony. I am
very pleased with the result, especially when this piece is
accompanied by the sculpture Pinstripes II.
