This sculpture
is a variation on my original theme for my “Sanctify
Series” sculptures. I wanted to try a more uniform grid
work made of a darker wood. I chose Brazilian Ebony for this
piece. The other variation is that I made larger, uniform,
beveled ingots affixed to the grid with brass pins. The pins
accomplished just the look and feel I wanted – a bit
more rugged, yet still warm and inviting. The darker grid
gives this piece a richer feel, I think. I am very happy with
this piece!
