Artist’s Statement

Life in general, and love in particular, has often been described as a dance. In the realm of love, the dance happens when a man and woman move to and fro in each others’ lives and worlds with deepening intimacy. There is much joy and sometimes deep pain. This sculpture captures the closeness that a couple in love experience as they dance with one another through life’s ups and downs.
